Katherine Heigl reveals the ways that growing up in a 'white bubble' affected the way she raised her multiracial family. The actress "Firefly Lane" told an interviewer that it didn't matter how dark her skin color was to her. After meeting her Korean-American adopted older sister she realized the difference in the way people were treated by her. "I I asked my sister Meg to tell me if she'd been treated one way when she was walking around with our parents and a different way in the time she was by herself without them. Meg responded "Oh Yes, all the moment!" Heigl told Parents, "That made me realise how foolish I was." The singer became angry, and she decided to make use of her anger to help her adopted daughters. Sheigl's husband Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4 have been together for thirteen years. They adopted Nancy Leigh from South Korea at the age of 12 in 2009. then Adalaide who was 8 years old and is Black as of 2012.
